Travels with the Lloyd Brothers Park 1 We had a fantastic weekend on the Coromandel whilst Matt and Hugo were staying with us….in a pretty wet March, it was about the only nice weather weekend. We missed the hot water at Hot Water Beach first time around so instead the 3 creative boys invented a new beach game. It was the ideal BOY game as it basically involved a rugby ball, lots of energy, lots of commentary, and plenty of stunt diving! We walked across to Cathedral Cove, ate Fush n Chups on Cooks Beach (in very kiwi style), played RISK….(surprisingly we think Phil won, and not General Hugo) and chilled out. When we did manage to get the tides right at Hot Water Beach – we tried to build ourselves the best Jacuzzi possible but I think other tourists got rather jealous of our pool as they kept trying to divert our hot water into their pool. Humph…..so we soon got bored of that and headed off for some sand dune jumping, wave riding and then another epic game of the boys new beach game that involved a rugby ball, lots of energy, plenty of commentary and plenty of stunt diving. As we drove away from the Peninsula, I found myself quite liking that new game…. |
